How to Update an Offer in a Product Video

Map the old and new information, inspect every affected mention, and compare the finished revision with the approved film.

Treat an offer change as a content change

To update an offer responsibly, identify the approved replacement, find every place the old information appears, and review the complete revised film. A price is one field; the meaning of the offer may also depend on dates, eligibility, conditions, and the destination.

In Martius, open the approved project, enter the replacement offer and request an impact review. The Agent identifies linked text, narration, captions and scenes for your inspection. Update the affected content, compare the result and approve a new delivery; the authored studio films remain visual examples rather than records of this operation.

Record the replacement before editing

Write the previous statement next to the new approved statement. Include the reason for the change, the person who approved it, and when it becomes effective. Resolve conflicts between the campaign brief and the destination page before changing the video.

If only part of an offer changes, still review the complete statement. A new price may interact with a discount claim, a comparison price, or an eligibility condition.

  • Effective dates and relevant conditions
  • Source and person responsible for approval
  • Campaign destination and where the film is published

Find visible, spoken, and supporting mentions

Watch the video and inspect the script, captions, graphics, and source assets. Record each occurrence of the old information. Include smaller text and a mention that may appear before the final offer card.

Check content around the video as well: the thumbnail, accompanying post, landing page, and scheduled campaign. A corrected film can still lead someone to an outdated offer.

Describe what you want to keep

Save the approved film as a reference. Name the opening, product shots, wording, or sound you want to retain. Make preservation requests specific enough for another reviewer to compare.

Some revisions require a timing adjustment. A longer line can alter a voice passage or a closing card. Decide how to handle those changes rather than assuming every surrounding detail can stay exactly the same.

Review the revised sections in context

Check the replacement in text, narration, captions, and visuals. Confirm legibility and the time available to read conditions. Watch the sections immediately before and after an edit for abrupt transitions or leftover information.

Compare the requested preserved material with the reference. If it changed, decide whether the change is acceptable or needs correction. A completion message from an editing tool cannot replace this comparison.

Approve the whole film and its destination

Play the entire revision at normal speed. Have the commercial owner approve the offer and the production reviewer inspect the finished presentation. Check the next step in the same session so wording and destination remain aligned.

Record the approval and the new version name. Do not overwrite the only record of the previous published film; the history may be needed to explain a campaign change.

Replace public copies deliberately

List every placement that uses the film and update or retire each one. Confirm the new asset after upload, including any platform-generated preview or caption. Note the date and person responsible for the replacement.

Use Martius to map changed information to affected scenes, narration and captions, then compare the next revision with the approved film. Keep the original sources and retained creative decisions connected to the local project.

Questions about this workflow

What is the easiest offer detail to overlook?

Supporting conditions are easy to miss: dates, eligibility, comparison wording, captions, and the landing page. Review the whole offer rather than checking only the main price.

Can I guarantee that the rest of the video will stay identical?

Only a comparison of the actual output can establish that. Keep a reference and inspect the content you asked to retain. Martius does not currently promise exact preservation.

Should I keep the old published version?

Keep an internal reference and its approval record. Retire or replace public copies that could mislead viewers after the offer changes.
