Start with the question that is blocking the work.

These answers cover briefing, creation, review and delivery. For Martius operation, supported output settings and publishing workflows, use the product documentation. The samples on the site are authored studio films with an explicit production method.

Questions, answered

From the brief to the next version.

What should a useful commercial video brief include?

Name one audience, one message and one next step. Add approved product facts with sources, the assets you can use, and a separate creative direction covering the opening, pace and sound. Finish with the intended placement and the person who can approve the result. The downloadable commercial video brief gives you these sections.

How is a product ad different from a product launch video?

An ad supports a focused response to a product, benefit or offer. A launch film introduces a meaningful change and builds a coherent product or brand story. Choose the task before the treatment: Ads and Marketing have separate use-case pages and worked storyboards in this resource library.

When should a video use actual product footage?

Use current real footage when the viewer needs to inspect product appearance, a software action or a repeatable procedure. A generated scene, stock clip or mock interface may illustrate context, but should not be presented as proof of behavior or performance. Label the source clearly and check the meaning of the finished edit.

Can stock footage make a commercial video useful?

Yes, when it supports the relevant story and its license covers the intended use. It cannot establish a product claim by itself. Keep the source and license with the project and check the individual asset: Mixkit has different license categories, while Pexels publishes its own conditions. The film pages record the sources used in this website’s authored films.

How do I turn “make it better” into a useful creative request?

Name an observable change: show the product earlier, make the opening quieter, give the closing title more reading time or shorten the setup before the demonstration. State the reference version and the information to keep reviewable. Judge the actual changed sequence, rather than a reassuring response to the request.

What should I check when an offer changes?

Check each place the old offer appears: titles, product imagery, voice, captions and the campaign destination. Record the approved replacement, affected scene or time, and the opening or other creative content you want to retain. Compare the next export with the approved reference before replacing the public copies.

How should I handle a software feature name change?

Update narration, titles, captions, annotations and any interface footage that shows the old name. Verify that the new recording uses the current supported workflow. Keep the recording date, product version and approved terminology with the project, then compare the retained scenes before approving the next version.

Can the same recording serve sales and training?

It can, but the explanation should change with the audience. Sales shows a result that helps a buyer judge value. Training includes prerequisites, steps, boundaries and checkpoints so someone can repeat the procedure. Give each film its own question and review, even when both use the same source clip.

How do I plan versions for horizontal, vertical and square placements?

Decide the intended placements before production. Reconsider shot composition, reading time and important text for each frame shape, then inspect the uploaded versions where they will run. A crop is not enough to establish a good adaptation. Select the supported Martius delivery profile for each version and inspect its actual output settings.

What belongs in a video caption file?

Include synchronized speech and the non-speech audio information needed to understand the video. Review names, technical terms, timing and relevant sound cues; automatically produced text still needs checking. W3C’s caption guidance explains these needs. A transcript is useful alongside captions, especially when it also describes meaningful visual information.

How do I keep narration and the picture in agreement?

Write the visible action beside the line explaining it. Introduce a label or term when it can be seen, leave time for an important result to register, and listen to the actual exported file. If the narration makes a claim the footage does not show, add the appropriate evidence or narrow the line.

What should make an explainer’s key moment work?

The viewer should be able to see the relationship the explanation is teaching. Choose a clear starting point, introduce the parts in a sensible order and complete the connection with a visible result. Keep labels, movement and voice consistent, and have a knowledgeable reviewer check the simplified model.

What makes a video project worth keeping for the next campaign?

Keep the source material, approved facts, creative direction, script, current delivery and approval record together. Record where the film is published and who owns its next review. Martius uses that context for the next task and an impact review when business information changes. Compare the actual revision with the approved reference.

Who should approve a commercial video?

Assign responsibility for business accuracy, audience clarity and delivery. One person may cover several roles, but the questions should stay distinct. Record a decision for the actual version and placement, including any unresolved limit, so the next person knows what was approved and why.

What does an AI Video Agent add to the production workflow?

It carries a task across planning, source use, scenes, narration, revisions, review and delivery. In Martius, these actions remain connected in a desktop project so a later price, feature or campaign change can build on the approved work. Evaluate the actual first draft and second task, not the Agent label alone.

How should I use an avatar in a product video?

Give the presenter an explanatory role and keep real product evidence visible. Choose an authorized character, portrait or person clip, select the voice and use independent, picture-in-picture or split-screen scenes where they help. Review synchronization, technical terms and the final layout. The avatar-product-video guide walks through the task.

Do local files mean every AI operation runs offline?

No. Martius keeps original documents, raw media, portraits, source audio and editable projects on your device. Model requests and authorized destination actions have separate data paths. Publishing sends only the selected delivery copy and required metadata after your explicit approval.

What should be included in a delivery bundle?

Include the approved video and the selected companions the destination needs: cover, captions, transcript or configured learning package. Keep revision and language consistent across them. Inspect the actual files and exclude unrelated source folders or private project material.

Can I publish an ad without automatically enabling spending?

Yes. Local export, creative upload, draft creation and campaign activation are separate actions. Approve the supported destination operation explicitly. An upload or draft is not permission to activate a campaign, change its budget or change targeting.

Can I export an education video as a SCORM course?

Yes. Choose the target SCORM version or edition, completion and resume rules, and any assessment configuration. Export the lesson package, then verify import, learner launch, saving, resume and reporting in its intended LMS. An ordinary MP4 does not supply that course runtime.

What is the difference between SCORM, xAPI and cmi5?

SCORM combines a course package and LMS runtime. xAPI records agreed learning events in an LRS. cmi5 adds an LMS-oriented course, launch and session profile to xAPI. They are distinct learning-delivery choices rather than three names for a video file format.

Does a new export update every published copy?

No. Export produces a new local delivery. Use the publication record to identify destinations, review the changed content and approve the available replacement or new-upload action. Some destinations require a new URL or course version.
